A vintage L.E. Smith black amethyst glass bowl from the Mt. Pleasant pattern, produced circa 1925-1938. Features a scalloped edge and three curved feet in a "tripod" or "double shield" design. Made from deep purple "black amethyst" glass that appears black under normal lighting but reveals a dark purple hue when illuminated. Measures approximately 6 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. Designed for use as a mayonnaise bowl, candy dish, or trinket holder. In good condition with minimal wear.
