Vintage black amethyst glass pedestal dish, 9 inches in diameter, featuring a lacy, scalloped openwork rim and a raised pedestal base. Made from deep purple glass that appears black under most lighting but reveals amethyst tones when held to light. Similar pieces attributed to L.E. Smith Glass Company, "Colonial Lace" pattern, from the 1930s-1950s. Minor wear consistent with use and age.
