Imari- porcelain plate from the 19th century, featuring a scalloped edge and hand-painted floral and leaf designs in cobalt blue and iron red (orange) with gold gilding on a white ground. The style echoes traditional Japanese Imari patterns, often emulated by English and European ceramicists. Measures 12 inches in diameter. Minor wear visible on the underside consistent with age, included is the provenance from Janet Preston’s house in Baltimore, Maryland over 100 years old
